Michaela Obersriebnig's expectations from summer-peacecamp 2005
Expectations from Peacecamp 3
1.
I hope that this encounter will help us to get to know other people, different religions, different cultures and also different point of views. It would be great to take home new experiences and lifetime memories.
We will talk, do lots of activities together, learn something new and have, for sure, a lot of fun. I think we will also quarrel a bit because of the different views, but I think this won’t be a problem at all.
I personally want to have fun, find new friends ( for a long period), learn about them and their cultures, get an insight into their views and take a ( little) step towards peace.
2. It is difficult to say what I want to achieve. Well, I would want to achieve what is the aim of this project: A little step into a peaceful future.
I want to learn about the others, about totally different cultures and religions and I even want to learn something about myself. I would want to get to know new people and become friends with them. After the peacecamp I would like to be somebody who knows a little bit more about what you hear in the media and read in the newspaper.
3. I expect them all to be open for different opinions, to listen, to talk, to be tolerant.
4. I will also try to listen carefully, to bring in my own point of views, to participate actively in everything, to be tolerant, natural and open. So I will try to make it as successful as possible.

Conni's expectations from summer-peacecamp 2005
My expectations
1.
It is not really easy to say what I expect from peace camp. I just want to meet people from different countries, having different religions, languages, roots and cultures. I hope that I will be able to learn something about all these things and will leave wiser and more opened for different views and foreign people. Maybe I can also improve my English and learn some sentences in Slovene, Arabic and Jewish. In addition, I would like to make friends with some or even all of them and keep in touch as long as possible!
2. I have written in my self portrait that I am tolerant and open for different views, on the peace camp I would like to justify this statement and I want to show that prejudice cannot be justified. As I have already mentioned in point one I want to learn something about the participants, their countries, languages, religions, etc. and I want to take home all the new views of these people.
3. I want all the students and adults to be tolerant, open for other opinions and able to converse, but also listen. Everybody should accept things the others like or hate, devote or deny. I want everyone to be fair, polite and interested in the whole project.
4. I will try everything possible to make this project a successful one. I will take part in the activities, talk and listen to understand participants´ opinions and try to show them my point of view. Tolerance will be a key word to make the peace camp a great success.

Lihi Avayou's expectations from peacecamp summer 2005
1.
What are your expectations from this encounter? What do you think will happen there? What would you personally want to happen there?
I have several expectations from the peace camp, including, meeting people and make new friendships. I believe that having friends from other countries or a different religion is much more thrilling and interesting, and then the friends you meet on an everyday base. Another expectation I have is to get lots of experience in English, since, talking for ten days in another language is much more enrich then study in class.
I believe that the ten days we'll all spend in Austria will bond us, and if we'll get lucky, the connections will last for a long period.
2. Is there anything you would want to achieve there? What would you want to learn and take home from there?
I hope this encounter will finally erase the prejudices and the stigmas.
And the only thing I want to take home from there is new knowledge and of curse new friends. I want it to be an unforgettable experience, something I would like to go through over and over, again and again, without having any regrets I have ever agreed to be a participant in this peace camp.
3. What do you expect from the other participants, students as well as adults?
I have no particularly expectations from the participants since I am yet to know what would happen over there. I just want them to be nice, funny and initiators, since I am a shy girl.
4. What will be your personal contribution to make this encounter successful?
I believe I can make the atmosphere lovely and funny. I am a creative and artistic girl, so in those areas I can definitely help.

Evelyn's expectations from peacecamp 2005
I do expect a lot from peacecamp 2005:
I expect young people from four different cultures to meet young people from cultures other than their own. Such an encounter is a wonderful opportunity to learn about other cultures, nations and religions; it is an opportunity to realise that our way to see things is not the only way to see them, that there is more than one way to perceive things and more than one opinion about all sorts of questions.
I expect many open and frank discussions and hope that we all will be able to say what we think and to listen to what others have to say. In this way each of us will receive something, but also give something to others.
What I would want to achieve on this peacecamp is to learn as much as possible about how young people perceive the world in which they live; I would like to learn about what bothers them and how they intend to contribute to make their own world a better one. If I can take home a better understanding of people and their culture, this would be a great asset.
I expect from every participant - youngsters as well as adults - to make an effort to talk openly and honestly about their thoughts and feelings and to listen carefully and with respect to what others have to say. Should there be any conflicts or misunderstandings amongst participants, which is likely to happen, I hope that we will be able to sort things out by talking and listening to one another.
My personal contribution will be to try to be as open as I can about my own thoughts and feelings and as accepting as I can be of others.

nab eid's expectations from peacecamp summer 2005
1. What are your expectations from this encounter? What do you think will happen there? What would you personally want to happen there?
2. Is there anything you would want to achieve there? What would you want to learn and take home from there?
3. What do you expect from the other participants, students as well as adults?
4. What will be your personal contribution to make this encounter successful?
My answers:-
Question no’ “1”:
I have great expectations from this encounter because it’s amazing to meet adults that you have never met, so you can learn about their life, religion and their personality. And you can also listen to their opinions, discuss and learn from them.
It’s just wonderful to live ten days with those people that you have never known so you can see the way they live and spend their time.
I think that many things will happen their because as I said above that we will meet there adults we have never met and that will cause many thing like: surprises , funny scenes and maybe strange scenes. Everything is able to happen there. I wish many thing to happen for example I wish I could learn from anyone from the other groups anything, I don’t care what’s it, just by learning it I’ll be so happy.
Question no’2:
First of all I like to say that one of my plans for the future is to be a successful person, and it can’t be done without achieving my goals.
So in this project I want to achieve lot of things.. for example one of the things that I like to achieve there is trying to convince others about things they never were convinced in… in this achievement I think I’ll help those people because I’m sure this things will help them in the future.
Other thing I would achieve there is to win the love of others because I think with the love of others you become stronger & you can also pass the blocks that may become in your way.
People say that if you live a few days with other people you will learn all the things you have seen and you may also save many of the things you have learnt for your using.
I think that I will learn and take home all the things I’ll see there because it’s an opportunity to see the life of strangers and the way the live in.
I’ll take home memories which I’ll remind until the end of time.
As I see there is no end for thing I’ll learn there like:
Traditions of the 3 groups whom are going to be there, to learn about the life of everyone there, to learn from the mistakes that me & others have done in the past.
Question no’3:
I have great expectations from the other participants. As we all know we are “extraordinary” students, so there is no end for the expectations. My own expectations are very wonderful because I see that we’re going to learn, have fun and share our opinions.
I also expect from them to show me great ideas that I have never heard, discuss all the things we’ll say and make new successful relationships and friendships.
I think that they will be respectable, peaceful and cute friends.
Question no’4
I’ll try in all my power to make this encounter a successful one.
So I’ll try hard to make a great relationship between me and between the other participants, to get closer of them and to help them if they need & if I can.
I will also enjoy the discussions, the activities and all the things we’ll have to do there…all the things that I have said are just a little part of all the things that I’ll do to make this encounter successful.

layla's expectations from peacecamp 2005
peace-camp 2005
First of all I think that if there are projects such as; our peace-camp there also readiness to make peace, because this encounter is the first step towards peaceful atmosphere.
As a result I expect that each one of the participants likes peace or at least peaceful coexistence, for this reason we ought to listen to each other and become acquainted with the real facts of all the topics we are going to deal. However I think that what's I mention not just my own expectations; it is also what will happen there.
In addition I hope that we will discuss the different cases topicality without so many emotions, so we can succeed to find good solutions.
In the social domain; I think that I am going to meet sweet and very kind people – I am sure about that, because it is easy to note it if you write to them and receive from them. Actually, I can say that the girl who writes to me and I am so is very kind and I consider her like an old friend, in fact I have a lot of fun writing to her.
Really I have a big enthusiasm to go there and listen to different aspects and viewpoints, in addition I want to know at close quarters the habits of the Austrians as well as the Slovenes, because it will help me in my lifetime not only for the ten days, so I consider it a big achievement for me.
I can note from the photos that the teachers or the adults who will be with us are very generous and they want to give is a lot of information in an interesting ways, also the looks have experience and collage degrees. But the most important thing for me is that they are going to teach us and be with us because they believe of the peace, so in my eyes they are great persons.
Last and not least as I say in the beginning; if we want to make this encounter successful we must separate and detach between the emotions and the real facts, but I don't mean that we must abandon the emotions absolutely because without them there is not any human thing another important point; we must respect each other even though we don’t accept the other's opinion.
